| the little cable that goes down the middle of my empi/hurst shifter broke.. so i am back to the stock shifter.. i have never seen the assembly of one, and i picked and pulled the pieces out of my spare beetle parts.. i think i have it set up wrong.. is there supposed to be a spring or spacers or anything like that in there? ive got a spring in there and it doesnt seem to be helping at all.. |

| Do you have the reverse lockout plate installed under the shifter? |

no.. i am gonna look for that now..
i actually figured i needed something like that, i went to shift into second and all it did was grind, so i just moved on to third.. |

| couldnt find the piece.. so im going to order a new shifter :) , anyone have any preferences? i like the short shifters.. |

| never skimp on price when it comes to a shifter. Your wallet may cringe, but it will be worth it. Berg makes some nice ones $$$ |
