I just want to say thanx to everyone who answered all my post for help in restoring my 73 sb. If it wasn't for the continued support of the Vw community and all the oldtimers as well as the newbees who gave me advice or steered me in the right direction to restoring this bug I wouldn't have had the fun I am having right now.
I used to be into bugs in my twenties and now that I'm 48 and back into them it's like coming home again, enjoying their simplicty and history as well as thier charm.
When I brought this bug home from the wrecker my wife almost flipped out.
Eight months later she not only likes what I've done to this bug, she can't wait to drive it.
Now that brings back memories of my old bug and the back seat.
Maybe she'll help me relive those memories too ;-)
