I'm not sure if GEX even takes out those big full page ads anymore... Seems like I have not seen that ad for awhile but I don't see every issue anymore like I used to years ago.

I'm sure the editors of HVW's have been aware of poor quality parts etc etc in their "advertisers ads" for decades but they still run the ads. Like Glenn stated...all about the money. HVW's is not liable nor do they have to be the moral police of the industry. They sell magazines...sells adspace to cover costs... just like every other magazine in the world.

I just love it when someone digs up an old thread like this and keeps the fire burning! :twisted:

BTW... only reason I have a HVW issue is because I won it in a raffle.

This might be a far cry but have hot vws do test on a selection of various longblock from differents company ( like how they compare different cams, carbs etc.) and when annouce the results that GEX sucks it can't be slander. All Hot VWs have to do is order it as if they are a customer so they build the engines just the same as they would for the public. But the easy way is to continue to spread the word far and wide that they are not building or making quality parts and hope for the best. But however they probably will never go out of business, how do you explain EMPI?(never going out of business?) :roll:
