This is my 1963 pearl white Type 1.
Car currently runs a 1641 with twin 36's, but by early Feb 05 will have it's new "heart" installed, a 2165cc twin 44IDF motor. Should be fun
The car has a lowered and narrowed front beam (by Funkenblitz in the UK) and runs on repro BRM's.

Thanks for the kind words guys.
dub_crazee I am based in Esher, literally opposite Sandown Park where the VolksWorld show is held each year.
Doesn't take long to get there each year and the car will be on display in the club section outside this year again.
I'll take some more shots when the motor is in as well... |

Thanks again for the cool words guys.
You'll notice on the dash shot that my Scat shifter is in fact a LHD one turned round to fit RHD (note the grab handle is at the bottom) - I think I'll treat myself to a Berg shifter when the engine goes in.
oh and Skim, dude you have one of the finest selections of cars + projects I have ever seen - nice one 8) |

My57VintageOval - the engine that is currently in it has already been sold, it is a decent 1641 with twin 36 Dells, full flowed and Engle110 cam.
empivw - you are correct, the shifter is a LHD version spun round, works well though, but will be replaced with a Berg at some point.
I have also just bought an Empi GT steering wheel which will be in place soon. |
