Did the early "N" model Notch have trim along the bottom edge of the dash?
My car has a late replacement dash and screws along the bottom.
But I have an early dash to put in, and want to do it right.

Yes it has the trim piece, no clock, no push button switches.

Long live the samba!

Long live the samba!

I am ashamed not to have found that picture. I looked.

No PBD, huh? Mine must be Euro.

OK, I got to bust someone out here. Jason, I hope you mean that the half of a year in 64 when they still used the push button dash that the N model came with that gay, yet hardly seen, insert. I know that you are not talking about the 61-61 PBD models! :P

Yeah the early 64 has the insert with the push pulls in it. Not the push button. I dont know his year so thats why I said no push button. BAM!

OK, found someone to sell me dash trim.
But how does it attach? Some type of clip, I'd guess. And how does the clip attach to the dash?

My Notch is 63. Has PBD.

I may have a few of the required clips at home. DDB should............

I have an NOS owners manual at home for a '64 N (4sale), and it shows the plate with pulls.

61-63 T3 is a 1500 not an "N". 64-65 has N, S and E designations. There should be holes near the screw holes for the clips to go in.
