I was wondering what the average mile per gallon is on a 1600 in single carburation and double carburation?

Single carb about 28-40mpg

Dual carbs have the ability to give you an even better gas mileage rating so long as the driver doesn't drive it like a race car. But because of the increased seat-of-the-pants-power, this get a little difficult

duals will get 3-4mpg better mileage IF DRIVEN THE SAME.

In the same subject is there a reliability trade off on getting a dual carb. then a single carb? :?
