I drink Crown but picked up a bottle of Jura to have a single barrel around. Hate to say I like the Crown better. The Jura tastes like paint thiner and carmel color . Don't know if that says more about Jura or Crown. Ten year old Jura.

I've been drinking Johnny Walker black label for many years. Its good stuff.
Try it! They also make blue label. Veerrry expensive but when you can get some, verryyy tasty! ( in my opinion of course )

What is surprising is that a part of the truck's load struck the trusses, causing the section to collapse. The bridge outlived its usefulness but since the route needs to be re-opened quickly the agencies involved will have to spend $15 million to repair it before they can replace it with a new bridge.

Glad no one was killed.

In defense of WA DOT, they follow the same Federal bridge replacement protocols as everyone else. The bridge was labelled functionally obsolete - which usually means "too small", as opposed to structurally deficient which usually means "replace, repair or modify".

Every community has plenty of both and ranks their bridges on both scales every year. Once a bridge gets far enough down the list, they get federal, state and/or local funds for repairs, modifications or the occasional replacement.

The collapse of a functional obsolete ranked bridge is why the WA engineers are saying the bridge was probably compromised by a collision with a truck prior to the collapse.

According to The Star-Ledger, 29 New Jersey bars and restaurants were raided on Thursday after suspicions were raised that they were passing off cheap alcohol as higher-end varieties. The establishments included 13 TGI Fridays, one Ruby Tuesday, and one Applebee's. Bars and restaurants would refill the empty bottles of expensive alcohol with cheaper brands. Even worse, NBC News reports that one of the establishments reportedly used caramel-colored rubbing alcohol in place of scotch.

If you're talking single malt, I would recommend something from Speyside as they are typically mellow, smooth and appeal to a wide range of palates.
Try Glenlivit 12 or 15, or Dalwhinnie 15.

There's 100s to choose from, if you are new and want readily available Glenfiddich or Glen Livet will due. Then tour Scotland (via drinking of course) lowlands, highlands, islay etc. Have fun.

Oh, and don't just stick with Scotch (everyone does that) - you might try a few Irish Whisky just so you're not drinking Scotch like everybody else.

My step dad works in Mt. Vernon, he was about 7 minutes past that bridge on the 5 when it went down. Glad nobody was killed, but when transportation declares that bridge obsolete in 2000 and again in 2010 and it's still up and running??? C'mon now...

That's some crazy shizzle. 71,000 cars a day go across that bridge. I've been on it many, many times. Every other weekend for a school year at least. I remember the sensor from the wave runners&outboard motors that would sett off the revlimiter when hot, or if you did not use the special greezzee it had to have to work properly it would also go off.probably the same type of sensor...... or a door buzzer

My wife works for the conservation dept. here in MO, and cigarette trash in the local rivers and streams is a big problem. Everything you throw out the window ends up in a watershed, then to a river or stream, unless it is intercepted by a road clean up crew.
Not too long ago, I was cruising through town in my freshly washed truck and the car in front of me dumped out their whole ashtray out of their window at speed, and it basically coated my truck in ashes and butts.
I was a bit angry.

The average amount of crap that a smoker throws out the window in relation to their addiction is about 27lbs. per year in trash (butts, packaging etc.). I'm sure those smokers would be pissed if I went and tossed 27lbs. of my garbage on their lawns.

I'd say grille is a Jaguar xk-140.
The car looks a little like a late Bugatti, or very early Ferrari, like a 125. Every one had coachbuilt bodies, so it could be most anything from the late 40's or early 50's.

Verbal warnings are dependent on the situation. The spirit of the law versus the letter of the law is something to consider. A clean driving history shows the drivers typical compliance and may result in a verbal. Specially if the violation is not too serious.

I have both the samsung galaxy tab2 10" (using it as we speak) and an ipad 2.

Ive owned several apple products so I bought the ipad and was so miserably dissapointed in it, it has been sitting uncharged on my coffee table with less than an hours use on it since I bought it 6 months ago. To be honest Ive used the back of it as a coaster more than once. It is litterally the dumbest "smart device" I have ever owned.

I bought my galaxy a month after I bought the ipad to replace it, it has its quirks as all tablets do but I love this thing, and in a week when all current tablets/ technology is outdated I would by another samsung without hesitation.
