I am needing a new (or refurbed) speedo. Currently I have 2 that the PO gave me with the car (both have broken odometers) and I do not know what one is correct.

one of them has speed indicators of 0, 30, 50, 70, 100 and the other
has indicator every 10 mph to 110.

Could someone
a) tell me what one is correct for my car?
b) tell me a good place to buy a speedometer for my car?

1973 type III squareback

Thanks

a '73 will have the later style of gauge, the black face vs. the grey face...

like these:

black face with white markings, every 10 mph marked until 110 is the correct one...

The 110 MPH gauge is 73 only, right? I got one for my car, because it goes faster than 100, and, well there you go.

And there are people that will repair broken speedo's. Jim Adney in Madison Wisc. comes to mind. [email protected]
