Yes, I searched.

Does anyone make body colored fender beading for our cars? Technically, it isn't hard: all that is needed is a profile and an extruder. Someone MUST have done this by now. 10 years ago, when I last looked, it happened yet. Perhaps my luck is better now?

Any pointers would be greatly apprecaited.

nope -- the only Type 3 specific fender beading I found is at ISPWest..

and it is black and nothing short of a monstrous pain in the ass....

high quality, and a decent price too...

I installed the black stuff many years ago and it is still perfect, but it KILLS ME to look at. I want my welting in marinablau, dammit! Rolling Eyes

If ISPWest is extruding their own, it won't kill them to change the plastic pellets in the extruder hopper and make some runs in colors. I've run these tools before and it's not hard, especially if you aren't running the extruder at full capccity. Tooling is the expensive part and they already have that covered. Let's see some colors! Twisted Evil

ISPWest, are ya listening?

For that price, I could buy one of these and have a tooling shop laser cut me a die:

But yes, I can understand why it doesn't make sense to tear your entire production run down to change colors. These damned cars make me so damned illogical sometimes! Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy

i found some NOS beading, only problem was it was in 3 different colors lol, none of them the color i wanted, orange. Solution was to make cardboard templates of each fender and staple the beading onto the cardboard, so it has the bends and everything. then just give it a shot of paint when you paint your car. its been years, and it still looks perfect.
