I like it...sweet edits. My students who are into video projects would love it. _________________ 9th Owner of a 1971 Tintop Westy

thanks!
I thought I was gettin skunked in the other firum all the time for no reason...turns out I was puttin the vids in the wrong spot...noone told me.
The car rolls great. Keeping the 165s up front was a great idea. I have to angle in and out of the driveway but no scraping.

My man Brandon (DHP65) gave me some of the technical info.
Here it is:
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
The big L-Dogg wanted me to elborate on the comming of age of Mistie so here it goes:
The car is an early 58 with 2-bolt wheel cylinders all the way around, no provision for bump stops in the rear and the end castings on the axle tubes are the early "straight" variety.
The Rear:
Lemmoris wanted around a 3" drop. I dont go by one notch on the outer/ inner etc crap, but rather I figure out of many degrees of change at the spring plate results change of ride height at the wheel.
1” = 2.18 deg. 1.5” = 3.28 deg. 2” = 4.37 deg. 2.5” = 5.46 deg. 3” = 6.56 deg. 3.5” =7.64 deg. 4” = 8.72 deg. 4.5” =9.85 deg. 5” = 10.9 deg.
The front:
3-1/2" narrowed w/ cb dropped spindles and adjusters. Because of the two bolt wheel cylinders and the dropped spindles I had to put the left backing plate on the right side and the right on the left side so the backing plate would sit flush on the spindle. He was ungraded to a steering dampner. One set of caster shims & Empi oil shocks. This beam was one of the first I have done as is was on my car before it was totaled. The shock towers were made out of 3/16" plate and only went around the top tube of the shock tower. I now have made up new plates that go over the lower and upper torsion tubes so you can use them on original beams or you can use them for making new beams out of 2" od tubing. _________________ http://www.lemorris.com | http://www.facebook.com/lemorrisart |
