It's good that it's a one-off and on the opposite side of the planet. Otherwise I might have an irrational hope that I could acquire one some day.

There are more pictures of this car in your west coast metric catalog. (type3section) They call it Last Century Prototype- 1961 VW 1500 cabriolet type 35 prototype.
I was cruising thru the catalog yesterday after reading this post and there it was.

That white car for sale was not real, of course...

But it did sound nice as I inquired about it.

For those of you with a hope and a dream, there are rumors of a real Convertible Notch being in the USA/Canada. It is "undiscovered".

Yeah, Everett has it in his underground bunker. Storing cars underground the AZ desert is the way to preserve them.

Dont forget the Notch sedan, T34 sedan and the sister T34 vert thats part of this "amazing 1500" package. Shocked Would be nice to find the trailor they were hauled around on too. Wink
