I like it. The new wheels are sharp, can we get those here (in the States)?
P.S. I don't know about that right-hand drive stuff, but maybe we should start spelling tire with a 'y' too! Is it just me, or is it cooler that way? _________________ '61 Ragtop Bug (for an electric vehicle conversion) |

The wheels are genuine EMPI/Lemmertz Sprintstars made in the 60s-80s. You can get them the world over from private sellers but they're not cheap. Keep a look out on here or Ebay.
Cheers for the comments guys. |

On my car the tyres are only 165Rs. They're the same height as the 205/65s but a little skinny and I'll be changing them. I think they look larger as I'd just changed the wheels over and the suspension hadn't settled.
On the ex TXPanzers Bug they look like slicks, possibly M&H tyres. 26x6x15 maybe. |

Great looking car. My favorite color for a bug.
Your steering wheel is on the wrong side, though. |

Hey Rich, are you running a narrowed beam? How much narrower?
I'm running CB drop spindles and stock wheels with 165s. They rub just a little when turning sharp, not bad tho _________________ 56 oval

Yes Trev I'm running a 3.5" narrower beam. With the 4J Sprints this does look very narrow. I'm also running the CB dropped spindles with 145 tyres. I used to rub with them when I had the BRMs so had to go narrower.
No plans on dropping the rear!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
