That was one of the reasons for creation of this forum; also, it made sense to have it separate from the off-road forum as kit car topics were being drowned out. It seems to be running efficiently so far. _________________ OGST | CU05 | OGJHC

Based on an email I received a little while ago, The Meyers Forum decided to do that.
It was requested that a split be made from the previous Off-Road/Kit car forum to cover Manx cars and other on-road style kit cars in their own section so here we are now.
If it brings more people to this site or helps the online VW scene, I'm all for it.
Free is good. _________________ How to Post Photos

Screw those guys!
Why should I have to pay 30 bucks a year to use their forum.
Forums and radio are the last two free things I have!
Shame on them!

Well I'm kind of new to the vw, And I have looked at them for many years I just never got into them till I got my buggy. so I started looking for sites that had Info And I fell in love with the manx forums, And yes I have a 2 real manx's And I will pay the $30 to get my buggy in the regerstiy but now is not the right time for me to do that, But when I found this site I was Like WOW it has alot more to offer, I like to look at alot of pic's ( I have 24,000 save on my puter now) I would like to add a older bug radtop and a bus with the windows up top and one of those big hole's in the roof, Ragtop I think, So I'll be here soaking up the info, Thank's Everett for a good site, You must be the man of the house here. |

When you buy a Manx, you can pay $7 to be put in the regisry.
The last time I recieved it, it was about 30 pages printed on both sides and lists the owners name, address, serial number, color and what type of car it is. The list is broken down by states.
It is pretty neat to see who owns multiple cars, who owns the elusive "mono's or Utility bodies" as well as seeing who is in your area and what they own.
It really drives home how many people do not use the internet and just have cars (Manx's) in their garages.
Right in my area of PA, there are several SR's as well as a towd or two.
I have never ran across these people on the internet. |

The registery is free (or at least it was) to get two copies of it a year it was $7.00 a year. That was what Winnie told me last year when I registered mine. But as we have seen things change. |

They are just weeding out all of us wannabe Manx owners. So they can keep their site for the peoples that actually own a real Manx. Most of the peoples that I chatted with in their forum did not even have a real Manx. |

well, it just got worse. we can no longer just assume that bruce and winnie don't realize whats happening to the forum.
winnie got on the forum and backed everything thats been done.unfortunate to say the least.
and really makes no sense. but its her site- she is free to do what she likes. personally, i think they will end up with a handful of the california die hards who actually get something for the dues other than a forum - and everyone else will wean away. |
