After driving my Square around the block I noticed that the brake pedal sticks out further than the clutch pedal. Or maybe it's the clutch pedal isn't sticking out far enough. I remember them both being the same distance from the firewall. Both are working, but I get the sense of impending doom... _________________ "In order to create, you have to destroy." |

If you're meaning that the brake pedal is closer to you than the clutch pedal, it's possible that the pedal stop plate might be moving. The plate is slotted, and is held by a single 8mm bolt (13mm bolt head) that uses a flat washer to spread the load. The other possibility is the clutch pedal might not be fully returning to it's stop. Do you still have about 1" of free pay on the clutch pedal? if not, then you need to find out why. I hope this helps. _________________ Bob 65 Notch S with Sunroof

The brake pedal in Savanna was feeling like it was getting out of place, my knee had to bend more to get on top of the brake pedal. Turns out that it was nearly broken. Some how my friend Jon fabricated a new stop and all has been well ever since. Please remove the sheet metal and take a close look.
Cheers
P.S. I no longer dump the brake pedal. I am much more careful with my 36year old car. _________________ Ho'oponopono |
