any oldVW parts place will have them, they're the same as the ones for bugs and buses. buy several at a time, they're cheaper in bulk. and you won't have to wait for them to arrive next time you want to change your oil. _________________ 1988 Ford Festiva L

I'm bidding on a 5-pack on eBay now. It closes in about 4 hours, and if I don't win, then the same seller has a buy-it-now of 5 sets for a buck more.
BTW, I'm taking today off to play with my new toy! I fixed the rear trunk latch which was a bit dodgy because the cable wasn't quite tight enough, and now I'll get back to cleaning up light housings and tightening the contacts. |

nf, yeah, back to basics. When I bought my Fasty 5 years ago, several of the exterior lights did not work. Was simply a matter of installing NEW bulbs. Duhh. And using a small round-tip wire brush (plumbing supply) to clean the socket from corrosion where the bulb sits. |

Most of my lamp contacts were very loose, so I've been pulling off the housings and bending them back into place. I've also been cleaning contacts with my various arcane chemicals that I use for such things, installing all new bulbs, and greasing the bulb bases with silicone grease. Also cleaning and silicone-greasing gaskets where possible.
Things are working better now, but my front markers still aren't coming on.
My Muir arrived today, so I know what I'll be reading at bedtime! |

millerstamp on ebay. has about any small part you want. My last order to him was for over $100, for small stuff. _________________ Society is like stew. If you don't keep it stirred up, you end up with a lot of scum on the top!--Edward Abbey
