I have a rubber lizard about 3 feet long, nicknamed "Earl, the lizard of Safety". I picked it up at the Junkman's Daughter in Atlanta over 20 years ago. "1958" is marked on it's belly.

For years I've used it to protect my cars. Throw a paper over it, with only the tail hanging out, most folks won't even get near it.

So far, so good. I've never had a car burgaled.

I do alarms for a living, so I'll give you some pointer's. Put tilt switches on the hood and trunk. You won't be able to use the door trigger switches since Thing's don't have them, so use a Dual ZoneRadar Sensor for the interior protection in addition to the Shock Sensor. The Dual Zone can be set to warn away the bad guy if he gets too close and will violate the alarm (set it off) when they reach inside the inner perimeter of the vehicle. They work great. I've been putting them into Jeeps for years. Very Happy

As usual, Captain Spalding's idea of explosives gets my vote of approval. He must be one of those Myth Buster folks from TV.

Short of a starving pit bull in the interior of your 181 and Captain Spaldings idea, there cannot be a feasiable alarm system worthy of protecting our 181's. Theives steal expensive cars with state of the art burgular systems, so I don't see how we can make ours any more worthy.
