| Does anyone know if VW made a radio fill plate (for when there was no radio) and if so where might I find one? We want to remove the stock radio and put a CD player elsewhere. We need to fill the hole nicely so we can refinish the dash |

Yes,
They are available. Do a search in the classified sections of all the VW sites, you'll find one. I don't think I've ever seen any repros. for sale. |

Radios were a dealer installed accessory; however, the opening was the same for Beetles and Ghias. The difference would be in the support brace that connects to the rear of the radio and the "floor" of the trunk. I cannot remember which Sapphire series radio would be correct for 1967. I had a 1964 Ghia that had a Motorola radio installed in it. AM all the way, and it worked like a champ! _________________ -
