My wife just reminded me about the homemade tattoo needle I found in a bus. It was the prison style made from a ink pen and a walkman motor.

My 70 Westy had a copy of Sports by Huey Lewis and the News under the drivers seat, and a bunch of .38 special bullets under the carpet.

My 71 westy was full of camping gear and Johnny Cash tapes even though it only had a blaupunkt am radio. The only station I got in Richmond VA was an old time country station. What a coincidence...

i found an ancient comb that fell into the fresh air vent on the top of the dash, took about 15 minutes and a keen eye to spot it from the outside of the bus looking in. Ive also found a San Diego Zoo Collector penny -(you know the ones they flatten and design). I found one of those flat colorful glass looking rocks( i believe it was used to cut cocaine on, as there was many cuts and slices in the rock. Pen in the heat vent, and some other stupid stuff.

No music but I found a pair of deck lid standoffs, the original maintenance booklet and a d20 in my 71 beetle.

weirdly, I have found D&D dice in every car I have ever bought.

Image may have been reduced in size. Click image to view fullscreen.

All of these goodies were in the blackhole of my Beetle (defrost tube in front trunk).

Music-wise, my Ghia had a G-n-R cassette tape under one of the front seats...

My bus was a treasure trove of goodies. The previous owner left a custom cover so I can conver my bus for the winter, a milk crate full of spare parts, some camping dishes, a bag of Kingsford briquettes, a quart of oil, a small gerry can (1/2 gallon) of gas (full), a set of tools (screw drivers wrenches etc..) I'll actually take come pictures it was quite a haul.

The best thing found in it though... An old vanity license plate that reads "TYPE 2" Very cool. I went to the registry to see if I could use it but they said that the guy who originally owns it, still owns it and it can't be transfered. DAMN!

I'll post some pictures here and on the blog later.
