What size is the rear cv joint bit, to tighten the cheese head bolts? |

Be sure you use the "triple square", or 12 point bit.
Clean the heads out well with a small diameter wire or something similiar before attempting to place the bit in the bolt head.
You risk permanently damaging the bolt head if you don't use the twelve point bit or cleaning the bolt head out to allow full engagement of the bit. |

Thanks for the help i am trying to find a local source for the bit. car stuck st friends place were v shaft came loose. |

In a pinch, you can grab the outside of the bolt head with a GOOD pair of vise grips and loosen them that way. Don't try to use an allen wrench or it will turn the inside "stars" into a round hole with no grip.

Check local auto parts stores - Sears is also supposed to have them, but couldnt find them there. Also Snap-on and Mac tools should have _________________ D-Dubya Manx clone - 63 Short pan,1914.

i went to all local parts stores and sears also and my snapon dealer didn't have on on the truck. so I ordered all new bolt from the thing shop
and used a torx bit for now and ordered a new bit from hazzat |
