I check them out and the half doors won't be available for a while. I whish the roll bar was optional for the true Thing look.

18K? The 4 door was starting out at $23K! I wish I had an extra $18.00, not too greedy here.

The aspect that is really lacking for me are the practically non-existant rocker panels.

Probably not easily, since the roll bar is an attach point for the seat belts. You'd have to retrofit lap belts in all seats.

And that's before the dealer hits you with packs and junk fees, something the Chrysler dealers are noted for. You'll be lucky to get out for less than $27K.

The fuel mileage isn't anything to write home about, either. 15/19 in the 2-wheel-drive version.

My Thing used to go 15-19 miles per hour, but with the new engine I can get up to 24.5 miles per hour. In fact, I got up to 55 today for the first time Razz Razz Razz
