Found a hard top. Took time off from work, reserved a truck, then I get an e-mail from the seller saying he'll be out of town. I just can't do a 600-700 mile round trip at the drop of a hat.
Great. Pffft. So much for a hard top for winter. At least I have good dry storage. |

Was the seller aware that you rented a truck to pick this up? If he/she was, then I see your frustration and anger over the money and time you put forth. |

Yes. We spoke on the phone, exchanged e-mail, and had it all sorted. I even asked if he'd prefer cash to Paypal to save the charges.
Que sera. |

I see the ad has been reposted as of this morning, so I'm wondering if this is the one you were preparing to go pick up..... |

I had a seller do that to me with an engine last year. He kept stalling whenever I'd try to arrange a pick up (I'll come get it this weekend - "I'll be out of town" - how 'bout next weekend - "yeah, maybe" - etc.)
Eventually, he relisted it on eBay but didn't tell me until the last day of the auction and invited me to bid on it.
I didn't bother to. |
