caseydenise ,
Did you ever locate a miniture dune buggy fiberglass body as I am also looking for the same thing. I see that he "mini manx" is advertised in the UK on the site for eastcoastbuggies but i would think shipping is expensive. It would e nice to find an entire kit body, frame, etc...
Thanks |

I haven't found one yet. I met a guy who built one for his daughter. He had it at the Dover, DE show August 5th. It was so cool I can't even tell you. Everything was custom. He said that some parts dealers that come to shows might have one. He bought his from one of these guys. It's a week lead, but I think he visits this forum from time to time. One like is is the best way to go.

That's the same one. The owner told me he was at that show also. The motor is a smaal horse i think, like a 5 hour lawn motor. he made (by hand) a custom vw looking cover. Like I said this is what we all dream of making for our kids, or even us.
I'm want that- |

If you can't find a supplier of the go kart sized bodies, how about trying to get a hold of the glass buggies often seen on amusement park rides? You know the ones I mean...they're on a carousel of sorts and have hundreds of lights all over the body and a buzzer for a horn?
I recall seeing those go kart bodies for sale here in the northeast roughly 5 or 6 years ago at the Englishtown NJ VW Show & Go...haven't seen them since though. _________________ They call me James... |

| That same guy with the pink buggy always (almost always) takes first place in the judged shows in the 'kit' or 'special interest' categories. It's a neat little toy, but winning as a toy tends to cheese people off, like me...someone who has a lot of time and hard work sunk into a car that you can actually drive. I'll get off my box now and crawl back into my hole... |

This is a terrible picture I found on an amusement ride sales page...like I said in an earlier post, maybe someone can get a hold of one car for themselves.
This particular ride is actually for sale at $80K...now if just had the yard space for it......

Ok,not exactly a source for bodies but figured you guys might be interested.
Too rich for my blood but.May be worth it considering it's original, with papers etc. though, guess it depends on how badly you NEED one! |

YEARS ago (1983 or so) I got a info pack from K&P Mfg (website used to work. Don't know if they are even in business anymore.) But they had a kart called the Dune-Bug. It was pretty cool. I have pictures of the prochre if you want to see it. Drop me an e-mail. I can't figure out how to post pictures here.

i have pictures of my buggy go cart body up on the manx site forum.
in the general discussion.
can,t seem to get my pics to work on this forum
it is the same as the pink one that is all done up.
it was made by spatz in 1969. mine is green gelcoat metal flake .
and i have a friend who has a gold metalflake one.
found mine at a flea market. they are still out there,
sounds like there is enough interest that somebody might start making them again
put the word out and go to the automotive type parts flea markets.
i bet one will show up |

lol ill give them a ring tomorrow. i have a unhealthy obsession with putting a CR250 or 500 engine in a mini car for a while now. my dads friend did and he clocked out a 2.4 second 0-60 and a 3.7 second 0-100 _________________ Bermoco buggy on 57 pan - under construction
