GSScott, for what that guy wants to do with the car, he made a great engine choice. An underpowered, carb'd, aircooled VW wouldnt serve that car well. I didnt see any place on that car for a toolbox, or spare parts box either, so that's another reason to ditch the VW. He made it into,,,turn the key and go, NO questions asked. Besides, there isnt much VW left there anyway, so the engine swap into the 21st century is a smart move IMHO.
