Hi folks,

I’m gonna change my rear 205/65 tires for some more Old school / Drag tires, so I’ll be choosing in the 205/70 sizes, but it seams some of them look more « fat » than others !
If you know what I mean…
It’s like if the tire is 205 at the alloy but 235 or more at the ground contact or a little bit under pressured (but all around !)

Hope I’m not to confusing with my explication here…

So if you’ve catch what I mean, you’ll have a tire brand an type for me I hope !

Oh last thing, it's a '63 daily drive Bug... so no slicks

Thanks

Serge aka Coxbow

M+H makes "cheater slicks" that are DOT legal and are built on 6x26x15 slicks.

Hi Glenn,

Thanks for your answer, I've checked it out and found M&H's site and the M&H Racemaster Cheater Slicks they look really great, but couldn't find smaller than 10.5 !!

Maybe a street & strip will do ?

Probably not very good in the rain though

You don`t want the M&H`s. Especially on a driver. They don`t handle very well and don`t last very long compared to a radial. And unless you have over 100 horsepower or so there is no point.

Thanks for the links Very Happy

I'm driving my Bug around 10.000 miles per year, so a tire that doesn't go very long is not really what i'm looking for, and in Belgium it's raining...a lot ! And those tyres don't look very appropriate for that kind of exercise Confused But I really love the look's of it ! too bad...

If I don't find a "regular" tire maybe I'll go for that one, at least just for the meetings season (less raining, well a little bit... Confused ) but a rather like to find something that really does it all year long...

Thanks

Serge
