| Were thing seat always covered in vinyl? did they ever come in cloth fabric. i bought my thing and it came with some striped cloth fabric black and red that kind of looks like westfalia stuff (not plaid though). does anyone know about this. i will post a pick and maybe someone knows about it. |

| I've never heard of anything other than vinyl for Thing seats. Since the Thing was designed to get wet, cloth seats wouldn't be very practical... |

| Light OD green canvas was used in the early military models. I have seen that many times. Check out KoobleKars as shown in the recent Hot VW article. My pals from Albuquerque. They also use canvas. That is old school military fabric... |
