Yes, sort of. With some welding at the end braces. _________________ --- The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.

If you use the spindles too, it'll raise the Beetle by about 2 inches. You could leave off the side braces to make it easier - but then, why? Except for the side braces the beams are identical - and the Thing front beams are getting tough to find. |

your in luck
i happen to have a 70' sedan with a thing suspention all round!
the front beam bolts right on but as already said they have tabs welded along the ends. they also have reinforced shock towers. on my sedan i drilled holes on the pan head and used the original side reinforcements of the thing. other that 4 holes i drilled on the pan for bolts that aint even nessacery everything else is identical. im also using thing rear trailing arms.
if want pics of my front end or back dont hesitate to ask !
and to all those thing purist out there i got all my parts from a badly chopped up 181 that was sadly beyond repair the parts were headed for the scrap yard so i then ran in and took all i can hehehe |

drives on dirt like a charm but i'v noticed that a thing suspention trends to "shimmy" a bit on the pavement. |
