How far are you shipping the car and what condition is it in.?
If it is going far and the car can be exposed to the elements the most reasonable will be a 10 or 11 car hauler. The faster you need it there the more money it will cost.
The least expensive haulers often drop off at hubs along the way . For example Florida to Texas , Tx to Arizona Az to California . While it may be saving you short term remember the longer it sits in the yards and the more trucks it gets loaded on the more chance for damage. If its a nice car this may mean something to you.
Sometimes you can find someone returning from a long haul with a empty 2 or 3 car trailer and will tow a vehicle for fuel costs but this is rare and your negotiation skills better be good.
If you care about the vehicle being shipped make sure you go over it with a fine tooth comb and write down Every bit of pre existing damage on the bill of lading . Have the driver or inspector, if you drop it off at a hub ,sign it. This will help to get any insurance money due to you after they use your hood and top for a ladder with rocks stuck in their boots. Yea it happened to me.
I have friends that haul but their all on the west coast .I would look in your phone book or google auto transport . Or you could put the Uhaul car hauler behind the Chevy and make a road trip out of it.

Great idea. I've had a car hauled 4 times. After the first debacle, I always watch the car get loaded and take lots of pictures during the process. Then I take a final walk-around with the camera when it's all strapped down. Funny, but when you go to that trouble the car always arrives at its destination without a scratch. |
