I have a friend that has a Thing. Driving around town it seems to be fine, but start getting around 50 mph, it starts shaking violently. Once she steps on the brakes, it will smooth back out. What is going on? Tires, alignment, or steering? |

yeah there is a steering damper and yours might be form 1973 or 1974 get it checked they are real cheap to replace
Tire balance can cause this also soend the 10 bucks get those front tires rebalanced
It can be other tings but those first _________________ 62 sc, 62 SO 34, 61 mango, (2) 67 deluxe in crappy shape, 73 thing, 64 ghia,

If none of the others fix it, check the front wheel bearings. _________________ Ted Wojton
