Here are pics of my new Thing. It is a 73 with 51,000 miles on it. I got the hard top (Fiber Jet) and a nice Robbins soft top. I am loving having a Thing again. It is my 4th Thing. Thanks to Captain Spalding she is sporting the 27x8.5x14 tires I found on the local classifieds for $40. It is good to be back.

thanks,
Craig

I like it. Nice OG engine there, too. Does it have the skid plates underneath?

All the skid plates are intact, the rain covers are still mounted inside the airvents to the engine compartment, and inside the gas heater cover looks like brand new. The more I poke around this car the more excited I am about owning it.

I also ended up with 3 boxes of parts, an extra set of side curtains, steering column and full set of stock Thing rims.

Hot diggity -- now I want that car! Laughing

A couple things I noticed (circled below) -- you might want to replace that distributor with a DVDA or SVDA for a little better driveability, the fuel filter in the engine compartment is a no-no, and your right intake boot looks a little toasted. I'd check it for cracks.
