Here are a few photos from "Class Y" (the 181 category) taken on Father's day at the VW show in Litchfield for your viewing pleasure...
It was a great day and a lot of fun getting to hang out with the other Thing owners during the show. There were some Schweeeet Things on display! We're looking forward to the next one! _________________

Nice assortment of Things. As 181s rise in value, it seems that people are throwing more money into them. I won 2nd place at Litchfield in 1995, but if the above cars had been my competition, I don't think I could have competed! Back then, mine was decent restoration on a High School budget, but the 1st place winner was the only "showroom" example. The other four or so were Bondo specials -- It looks like you can't get away with that these days... _________________ I'm All About My Fetti! |

We had some nice Things show up...including 2 original cars, mine (yellow 73 strobe) and the orange one with strobes from NH have never been restored...for all you viewers.
Was Great to meet you at the show and def looking forward to seeing you and your wife again. I'll try and put an event together at some point for all of us New England Thingers to attend.
