Good luck !! Maybe an oil change wouldn't be too much, as checking brake fluid level !! _________________ 1976 181/Thing, 1967 fastback, 1973 squareback, 1964 microbus, 1967 Double Cab, 1969 westfalia (currently under resto), 1972 LM1C dune buggy, 1974 jean's bug, 1974 1303 (super beetle, currently under reassembly after new paint). |

Check air in tires
Test Brake system
Check lights
But most importantly, check all the nooks and crannies for surprises like furry ones and those that slither. Surprises whilst on the road are no fun at all. |

i actually replaced a wheel cylinder just before i parked it.
i never had a chance to bleed them at the time.
so , checking the brakes is a given
i am also missing a couple of exuast studs. that has been a pesky problem since last year. i am finally going to fix it right.
my tires have been on the thing since the late 80's so i have a nice fresh set im going to have installed this weekend.
my pumpkin is in pretty good shape cosmetically. i have just been neglecting her mechanically for too long. but not anymore.
she will be fixed up proper and tight again. its gonna be a great summer. i think i'll make it my daily again for the next few months.
p.s. thats just water under the car, not gas |

I call it "good-natured". If you own a Thing, you HAVE to possess a sense of fun and humor!
