| So, my passenger headlight is out on my '72 vert. The high beam works but not the regular light. I changed the headlight and unfortunately, the same thing happens. Any ideas? |

Check the usual suspects... connections, fuses, grounds. If it's only one headlight I suspect you have a wire loose somewhere. _________________ 1968 Ghia coupe

There are 4 headlight fuses: high left; low left; high right; low right. |

| I find that the wiring harness from the passenger side lights are a little shorter then I like. Check that the yellow wire didn't pop off the fuse terminal. |

I had a similar problem recently, but it was only the left hi-beam that wasn't working. After I pulled the headlight and tested it (worked fine), checked the wiring behind the dash for continuity and/or a loose connections (everything was fine), I finally broke out the wiring diagram (graciously provided by Samba) and realized that the left and right hi-beams went to different fuses. It was only then that I checked the fuse box under the dash and found #3 fuse missing (it had simply popped out and rolled under the edge of the floor mat). Now, don't I feel pretty stupid? I'm reminded again that when working with an automotive electrical system, the FIRST thing to check is the fuses! _________________ Firemarshal Bill
