Are there any roofracks available to go on the VWoA hardtop?
I think I saw it as an accessory in the advertising stuff.

They are very rare. If you find one specifically for the Thing, expect to pay a lot for it! However, you might be able to find one from a 60s/70s International Scout for a lot less (the same company made them). The dimensions are different, but they can be cut down to fit the Thing.

I just bought one that came off of a Scout. As soon as I figure out the best may to restore the mounts, which are severely pitted, I'll get it cut down and installed. I'll post photos of the project later...

Thank you, I know I had seen the loicture somewhere.

Anyone got a VW winch for sale, or know the specs for it so I can buy a correct size winch?

Since it is just a generic winch that VW slapped a label on you may well be able to find one new!
