1) disconnect battery
2) remove horn pad from steering, gently pull from sides and it snaps off.
3) remove horn wiring from above pad.
4)get deep socket and remove nut and washer from steering wheel.
5) mark steering wheel so it will go back to it's orig. position.
6) remove wheel.
7) unplug wires from behind switch.
6)unscrew four screws that hold turnsignal switch assy. Be careful not to lose or break plastic housing, and springs.Pull assy out of way.
7) remove screw and plate that holds ign. switch in place.
have key inserted to unlock switch.
9) pull switch out .
10) there is a very tiny screw that locks in the bottom section of the ignition switch . sometimes it comes loose and hence, why you have to push key way in to get it to grab.
11) while you have it out,put on some safety glasses and spray some electrical contact cleaner in the bugger... watch all the old dirt and grime come out. Then, lube it back with some wd40 or whatever floats your boat.
12) all fixed and satisfied? if replacing it with new ,you are halfway there.reinstall in reverse order and adios!!
It is early and I am going from memory of doing this a few years ago.
Heres a view.
