Posting wanted ads on this forum is acceptable if the part is not currently in the classifieds, correct?
If so, does anybody have a used rear view mirror in good shape that they can sell, there doesnt seem to be any in the classifieds. I know the thing shop has NOS ones but they're $80 Its kinda hard to drive without one. Or are there any alternatives that i could use that mount how the Thing one does and looks close to the stock one? |

Yep. He frequents this site often (was the moderator at one time). He pretty much has it, or can get it, or will make you one out of cardboard, tree branches, and clothes pins. _________________ Current VW drives: 1984 Westfalia

You can just pop the mirror off the ball of the mounting part and use a regular beetle mirror with the day/night feature if you want. But you probably already knew that. |

---Hell, I've got one here too.

--- Just my .02, but I like the glue on the windshield kind myself, but I'm tall and find myself looking through the mirror when going around corners, so the glue on one moves up higher with it's double pivot. _________________ --- The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at and repair.
