Just sittin on the side of the road waiting for the wife to bring my bigger tool box from home. I had just left work when I hear this crunchy sound coming from the left front wheel. I pulled over and pulled the wheel off and when I turn the drum, I hear crunching sounds and it doesn't like to turn forward very well. Backwards is a little better, but still has that crunchy sound coming from the 2 o'clock position. Once the wife gets here I'll get the drum pulled to see what's going on inside. Hopefully I can fix it enough to make the 7 mile trip home.

Looks like it was just some gravel that got in thru the adjustment opening in the backing plate. It was rubbing between the drum and the backing plate. Here's a new question though: How do you reconnect the speedo cable? I couldn't get it to come out far enough to catch in the square hole on the cap.

It'll go . it might be easier to take the cap off push it through and then put the cap back on after it's lined up.

That's how I did mine. Makes it way easier! Smile
