When are they going to make a convertable top with a removable and replaceable rear plastic window? That's what I REALLY want..

Go to your local boat canvases top maker, give them your top they will make you one with a zip out back window and even side ones if you wish. Or they will remove your back window and add a zipper and make you new window to zip in.

Good idea
but have you done it yet? I'd love to see pictures.

I have only seen 1 or 2 back windows on a Thing top in the last few years.

My top still looks pretty new, but I sure would like to replace my beat back window.

However, wouldn't any type of removable back window (zipper or snap) leak like a sieve in the rain?

No. My daughter's Jeep Wrangler has zip in rear windows, side back window, and bikini doors with zip out windows. None of them leak.
