I bet you can put a label on the face place cover (for the under dash mount) saying "ash tray" big enough, to read at night and would fool 99% of the thieves...

thats the same under dash kit i have... it works well.. and yes it does suck having the thing shop so close.. Laughing

I have an original "under dash" kit that came with my Thing. VW stamp on it, so it probably held a Sapphire from '73.

I hoped I could radio that would fit the existing mount, but no joy. I'll just sell it someday or maybe find an old Sapphire and put that in for grins.
