I went to the junk yard and canabalized a 80's mercedes to get the perfect set of rear belts. The center bolted right up and I mounted the shoulder harness to the cage. The cool thing is the center has a belt for a 3rd person, its great for the nieces and nephews and all for 20.00$in parts for orininal Repa belts!

view of front shoulder mount. The vinyl pad is so the top doesn't scratch the cage when i'm putting the top up by myself. I learned what a pain in the arse that was the 1st day I got the powder coating done. Ouch!

I wish I'd had an uncle like you when I was kid with such a VW Thing.
