Is there a manufacturer that make cloth, or canvas, roofs for the Thing? As my tan vinyl roof ages I can see where it wears, cracks, and tears. I would rather spend more money and have a nicer looking, longer lasting roof in the near future.

thanks.

I don't know anything about 'em, but I bookmarked this site some time ago while looking for a top:

http://www.convertibletopguys.com/cgi-local/displaycat.cgi?cat=859

They list Haartz Stayfast Canvas for $368.

I was going to go for this before I found my hardtop.

Cheers!

I bought my StaFast top from the kind folk in Signal Hill.
http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=299482

The top was $300, windows were a additional $300. I have no complaints about the top. The windows velcro onto the original frames and keep the weather out.
