|
|
I wasn't kidding when I said I would order from Ricardo again.
I just received his reproduction split running board aluminum moldings. They were carefully packed in a PVC pipe. There was so much care to the wrapping, that it took me a long time to unwrap them!
The moldings are just as he described. There was a choice of getting them in raw form (with production scratches), or polished. I chose the raw ones since my split's body moldings aren't polished.
I know these are just moldings, but I'm very impressed with their quality. They don't seem like cheap ones from the Far East. They have a very solid feel.
My split didn't come with any running boards (or the moldings), so I can't compare these to originals. But I'll take Ricardo's word for it!
I also ordered the split running board mats, clips , and hardware from Ricardo. I'll let you know how those are when I receive them.
BTW, I will be mounting all these to Wolfsburg West's bare running boards (which I believe are from Mexico). WW told me that they have a better fit, so I'll try it.
Mahalos again Ricardo!
ALOHA!!! |

Bought a few items from Ricardo, including his new star coil and brake fluid reservoir.
All items arrived very safe and sound, and in great condition. Took a little while to arrive but I would certainly put that down to the Australian customs, and the fact that it was over the Xmas period.
Overall very happy with the service and communication throughout, and of course the product. I would gladly buy from him again without hesitation.
Thanks Ricardo. _________________ www.melburgluft.com |

I ordered several parts for my 54 before Christmas and considering the holiday rush I did not contact Ricardo until about 4 weeks had passed and there was still no sign of my package. Immediately upon my e-mail Ricardo sent me a new package which arrived shortly thereafter. Still no sign of the first one in the mail but WHAT GREAT SERVICE. Ricardo has been most helpful, prompt in answering my e-mails and a joy to deal with. I would recommend him as highly as possible!!!!!! _________________ Stop worrying about how much your car will be worth when you are dead and build it to make you happy! |

|
|
Ricardo pulled through again!
These are the remaining items I purchased along with his split aluminum running board moldings that I received earlier this month.
The mats & running board clips are, once again, just as described. Very nice!
I also purchased restored Kamax bolts & washers for my fenders, as well as miscellaneous nuts & washers that I was missing.
I'm happy with all the things I've purchased from Ricardo. He is definitely a valuable resource for my Split's restoration. I'm looking forward to more of his products.
Much mahalos Ricardo & ALOHA! |

| Just got my grooved split body moldings today. Very nice product! Finish is excellent, product was packed carefully, reasonably priced, and shipped quickly! I've bought many items from him in the past, and once again, I'm very very happy!!! Ricardo responds to e-mails quickly, and always keeps me informed with what's up. He makes me feel like I'm his #1 customer! I recomend him highly for all your rare and repro parts. |

I received my parts two months after payment was sent.
Part of the delay caused by the holidays and the fact that I had ordered four fender weltings for my split and these needed to be made. Quality of the manufacture of the fender weltings not quite what I was expecting, seems a little like they were made in a rush and don't seem as good as in the ad.
I had also asked for a set of gas tank cap seals (free with purchase of $250 or more) but they did not arrive in the package.
Repro star coil looks really good and I'm anxious to install and run it in the spring!
I've emailed Ricardo about my concerns, and I'm sure I'll have a positive response. |

gas cap seals were included , did you checked the box carefully ???
shipping was indeed delayed by holidays and the fact that i received 20 orders for my coils , i had to honor the order of arrival of each order and to keep the hi standard you mentioned about my coils , all of them are actually assembled by me and i am a one man`s show , sorry .
also , shipping to canada is not fast , it is not like usps or european postage .......
by last , read my ads , please , i can refund a 100% except shipping of any part you`re not happy with no restocking charges
no questions asked
if someone there discarded the box with the gas cap seals inside and you never found them , i will send you an envelope with 2 new seals , no charge .
kind regards

I have now recieved my 2nd order from Ricardo, customer service and shipping times have been EXCELLENT! recieved packages in 6-7 days from time of order!
here is a list of all parts I have purchased and my opinions of quality:
-ivory dimple shift knob, excellent, hard to tell from original
-ivory window knobs, excellent, I like that these install exactly as original with no screws!
-dome light lense, looks awesome and fits my original housing perfectly
-glovebox liners, look nice, have not test fitted them yet
-horn grills, I thought they would be nicer for the price, but they look acceptable installed. BTW, I cannot tell them apart from Kona's
-running board mats, pattern looks good. PITA to install though. I wish Ricardo would produce complete split running boards!
-telescopic ashtray, VERY impressed. you cannot beat this product!
-L handle non-locking, excellent contour and chrome, nice part! _________________ DON'T SHIT WHERE YOU EAT! |

sometimes a fragile and bulky item weights a little more than expected taking the shipping fare to the next step ....
33bucks for a 7 day delivery , registered , 10k miles trip inside a well dampened box seems not too high for me anyway ....i do pay the same fares from the u.s. to Argentina every week
ups is also available and far more expensive ..... _________________ in my Garage:
