165/65 /15 was for Toyota Prius in Japan at 99 or 00.The size is really popular for air cooled VW there. I am looking for it here in The US. Does anybody know the size? I can not find it.

Wouldn't they be a little too small?

The original tire size is 165R15, which is 165/82/15.

Or is it equivalent to a 155R15?

So I guess the only way I can get them is either through Japan or the UK? International shipping will kill me but it will be worth it,as I'll have the only set in town Cool

165/65/15 tires are avaliable on Michelin.
You can find them at all Michelin sellers in Europe & Asia...
I still use them on my 68 Notch.
