I scored this 8"x10" photo recently. It's from the archives of Motor Life magazine - probably used for an article in the 1950s.

What upgrade kit is this?

You would think they would have a used a cleaner car with a straight bumper for their press release....

I updated my original post as it was not a press release, it's the photos used for an article in Motor Life magazine at some point in the 1950s.

The engine is an October, 1955 engine #.

I wonder why they used an early fuel pump though? Note flat top, maybe it's 8 mm for increased fuel flow?

Okrasa was my guess as well, because of the dual port manifolds.

Any chance you could get a better pic of the one your friend has? I need to make something up for my 56. Texture, closeup of the ribbing etc?

Thanks for anything you may be able to do.

No problem Major, I'm meeting up with him next Thursday. I'm sure he has some close-ups somewhere. Here's a thread, halfway down is a pic of his engine with the original tarboard, He comes in here from time to time so he might post them sooner.
