Whats the correct pronounciation for "Fuch"?

uhm its not spelled kafer
its käfer - but then you guys dont have the letter ä, Ä ...
the Ä in käfer is pronounced the same as the a in dad, bat, fat
if you pronounce the a like the a in - all, always(first a), all gone
then it will sound like a nazi word for african - not popular!
