wheel info

this one is gonna seem way out there but here goes. on page 80 of HOT VWS MAY 2008 theres a picture of a beetle in the top left hand side that seems to have wide rear wheels. were these made by some company or are they a widened steelie? any input will be greatly appreciated. sorry my scanner isnt working to show a pic.

The blue beetle? Not sure but they look like smoothies.
Notice how deep the lip goes on the rear wheel.

Might be bug wheels, or maybe a baby moon, hard to tell.
