hey zach, its great to see that you guys are trying to change things for the better. i am one of those people with a bad taste in my mouth but after reading your replies and seeing that you guys are really trying to get the show back to its former glory i will deffinatly give the show another chance this year. im my case i knew i didnt have a chance to win anything at your show, i just wanted to park with everyone else. i happen to be a fan of having two shows because we have a bunch of friends from canada that used to come down and after your show we would all go to sir and camp, hang out and have a good time.
thanks for having an open mind zach

| I dont want anyone to get me wrong, I dont dislike the weekend format. Its worked for a long time, and its nice to have a full weekend of activities. Its just that that would would be one kick-ass single day event. Huge! if you combined both shows. Ill take the current format though for sure, it was the premier event in the PNW, and loads of fun. I was just throwin that out there. And Zach, it sounds like youve got a great attitude about the whole thing. |

lol...(sixty-two),
Hey Zach, I also agree that it's nice to see you guys open to suggestions. I also go to vintage meet every year and noticed the parking deal and it would be better to let people park where they want. I think all the cars would get a little more appreciated and the hardcore purist would maybe become a little more open minded about the customs and not be so predudice. That's what a vw community is all about....the people's car...all people. |

| I agree with you guys. Vintage meet this last couple of years has been dissapointing. Has there been a date set for Bugnationals/Vintage meet for this year? |

I have driven down for the Seattle VW weekend at least ten times during the '80s and '90s. One reason is that there are three events: Burgermeet on Friday, Vintage Meet at Shoreline on Saturday and the Bug Nationals at SIR on Sunday. I missed last year's weekend, but have always enjoyed the previous weekends and even won my class in 2001 (my Beetle was 100% original, but I believe all beetles and buses should be permitted into the same area, as when the Berg Cruisers came a few years ago).
I drive down from Calgary (Canada) and the three-day event makes it worth the long drive. The only other format that was also great was when Portland had their drags (PIR) on a Saturday and then Sunday was the Seattle drags at SIR...but that was many years ago. Keep up the good work regardless of what show formats you eventually decide on! |

John, I have seen you drive by several times in your white single cab. I got some wheels and a 911 front end from you a few years ago. Do you have a date set for your porsche swap meet yet?
Back to the show.
We have decided that we will have a few custom classes and it will be up to the owner to decide if they want to be in stock or custom. We are also in the process of restoring a vintage dune buggy that will be raffled off the day of the vintage meet. |

| zach, the porsche parts swap meet is august 16th, same place. i still have the single cab, but i,m driving a dark blue 63 DC now. a 64/21 is stashed for a restore, or trade for a decent 23 if you run into one you don't buy yourself. later. |

| I am not sure how to respond. Are you saying that we shouldn't let type 4's in? What could I say to convince you to come back to the show? |

| i haven't been in many years. Seems to me that the drags started to die out then the rest followed. I'll be headin to it this year though. |
