You gonna loan me the jing?!! Will those tire sizes work ok even though I've got 4.5" in the front and 5.5" in the rear?

a 185 will fit nice on a 4.5 although you could drop to a 175.

in the rear, throw a 205/60 on it for a tough look.

You dont want to go too small a tire as in diameter in the front depending on how much you do or dont lower it..as you'll have the evil tire/fender gap Laughing 4x4 status
...and being a 73+ super, your limited on how low you can go without serious mods/cutting/welding..I had my '74 as low as you can go safely and still drive it daily without damaging anything

now, a 185/60r15 is almost 2" shorter than stock but a little wider than stock 165r15's

and with the pic below you can see how it will look (fender gap) with it at the ride height I'm talking about..(you know which one) Wink

now with those wheels, your tires will be further under the fender than my interceptors which were (15x6) and you may go with a 195/60r15 (lil wider/taller) in front so you can tuck a lil tire and should still be able to clear without rub Laughing
for the rear I wouldn't go with a 205/60r15 if you plan to do much HWY speeds for any period of time (60+mph) as it will take more rpm's to do so... for a close to stock overall diameter as possible on a 5.5" wide rim a 205/65r15 is the way to go

now if you dont plan to lower your super... I would run 185/65r15's in front and the 205/65r15's in the rear

I will. My Escort dropped a clutch today so I'm gonna be working on it for a few days. Sure do wish it was as easy to work on as my bug!

PPG Laser Red. It's close to the same color as the Escort in the background of the 2nd picture.

Thanks! I appreciate yours and sled's help with the tires. I've got a rub on the driver's side spring so I'll probably need the narrower springs from Topline to take care of that. I'm not sure why it's only on one side though. I'll check it out a little closer tomorrow.

Yeah maybe, but they look pretty cool! Funny thing... After driving it around the house a couple of times, the rub went away. Laughing
