I would say the valve stems were probably old to start with.
There was a story on 20/20 that was discussing the shelf life of tires and how alot of "New" tires were over 5 years old. Same could be said for valve stems sitting in a warehouse or tire store. I'd make the tire store replace them at their cost.
Better yet inspect the valve stems to be installed if you can bend them without cracking then they need to get some new ones. |

Crud, I was in the process of deleting this as you were posting.
The store did replace them the first time but if I take them back again I doubt they will again. I did find a recall of something like 30 million stems made in china, but dont know if thats what I have. |
