How hard would it be to put a 1000cc motorcycle engine in a bug? _________________ “If they’re an antisocial fag in real life, then they will probably be one on the Internet as well.

bug is still too big for a bike motor, the best bike/car combo is a hyabusa in a old mini cooper! _________________ Gotta give my props to:

Ive seen a Honda CRX engine in a bug. They use a drive shaft to attach it to the transaxle from the motor cycle transaxle. Worked good. They used the motor cycle trans to shift and the transaxle for reverse. |

Thaer's some fairly recent pics in the abortions thread of a Moto Guzzi to VW transaxle adapter used on a 3 wheeled race car. Without a cooling tin on it though I'm sure it would get cooked on a VW. _________________ Check my classifieds for kewl gauges:

Would something like this have real world benefits (such as increased fuel efficiency, etc), or is this a "for the hell of it" type of thing? |

That is not a VW engine in a bike. That is a R60 BMW from the late 60's to early 70's. The valve covers each side do look like ACVW, but it's not.

Yes it is a VW motor.. BMW did produce 4 cylinder motor cycle engines but they were inline and watercooled. |

That makes my eyes hurt.
As both a VW and BMW motorcycle aficionado, I would like that to go away. _________________ nothing |
