Those license plates would be cool on a post-war split. Smile

I feel bad for what that poor bug had to go through in its past years....
Atleast now it has a good home. What are your plans for it?

this bug is gonna get the TLC it deserves... but, one day at a time, it needs alot more work than the super beetle I am doing now, which will be going in for some body work and repaint.

First thing is that I have to repair the ignition cylinder, as I went to crank it and the whole thing came out...

I will be adding pics as I go along, and I am setting up a cardomain webpage as well.

thanks for the posts!

any suggestions are welcome!

Updating Post:

worked on teardown of interior this afternoon.

Looks like original color was a white ... gotta look at codes for that year... doubt it will be that though when I am done.

Tarboard had soaked up quite a bit of water, the ones under the seat came out quite easy, the front ones will need some heat to get them loose. hope to work on them tomorrow and then take a wire wheel to it and see how much is surface rust...

If you see anything that I should be concerned with, let me know...
